THE
TWILIGHT
ZONE
The original Twilight
Zone consisted of 5 years and 156 episodes. It all began on November 24, 1958
with and episode written by Rod Serling and directed by Allen Reisner for the
Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse. The piece was entitled "The Time Element" and
starred William Bendix, Martin Balsam, Darryl Hickman, Jesse White, Carol
Kearney, Bartlett Robinson and Paul Bryer. The episode received more mail than
any other episode of the season. CBS then decided that a pilot for The Twilight
Zone should be done. From there we start our five year journey into the
unknown.
